When CT crossed the Rivals 2 finish line and grabbed his first Challenge win after a decade of competing, over 2 million people tuned in to celebrate with him. The longtime reality show saw a 54 percent increase in finale viewers, compared to last season. Today, MTV announced they’d be bringing back The Challenge yet again!
Where Season 25 (yes, 25!) will be located remains to be seen but it will undoubtedly be somewhere exotic. Past Challenges have taken place in Thailand, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic to name a few. Fan favorites from The Real World, Road Rules, and the Fresh Meat edition of The Challenge will return to compete for a large sum of money when the show returns in 2014.
In the meantime, MTV is gearing up for the 29th season of The Real World. The show that blazed a trail for the reality genre will return to San Francisco, where its third season was held. That groundbreaking season told the story of Pedro Zamora, an openly gay man living with AIDS, who later succumbed to the disease.
